Terms of Service

1. Scope and provider

These terms apply to the use of the privately operated Minecraft game server "TeamTycoon" and the website teamtycoon.de including the forum. The provider is the operator named in the Legal Notice. By connecting to the server or registering on the forum, you agree to these terms.

2. Free hobby project

TeamTycoon is a free, non-commercial hobby project. There is no entitlement to availability, specific features or freedom from errors. The operator may change, maintain, restart or permanently discontinue the server at any time. A valid Minecraft account (Mojang/Microsoft) is required; the terms of Mojang/Microsoft (including the Minecraft EULA and Usage Guidelines) additionally apply to it.

3. Rules of conduct

On the server and in the forum, the following is prohibited in particular:

• using cheat clients, hacks, bots, macros or exploiting bugs for your own advantage – bugs must be reported instead (/report or forum),
• insults, discrimination, threats, spam, and unlawful, harmful or offensive content in chat, names, builds or forum posts,
• advertising other servers or commercial offers,
• trading in-game values for real money, and selling or sharing accounts,
• attacks on server operation (e.g. DDoS, lag machines, intentional overloading).

4. Virtual items and game progress

All game content (e.g. gold, items, levels, worlds) consists of virtual elements of the game without real-world monetary value. There is no entitlement to their continued existence, restoration or transfer. The operator may adjust or reset game progress as part of updates, balancing changes, bug fixes or season resets.

5. Sanctions

Violations of these terms may – depending on severity – result in warnings, removal of content, revocation of in-game values, temporary or permanent bans (including IP-based) and exclusion from the forum. Advantages obtained through violations may be removed without compensation.

6. User content

Users are responsible for the content they create (builds, chat and forum posts). By submitting content, you grant the operator the non-exclusive right to display it as part of operating the server and website (e.g. forum posts, public statistics).

7. Liability

The operator is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body and health. In cases of slight negligence, the operator is only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. All further liability is excluded; as this is a free service, no liability is assumed in particular for loss of data (e.g. game progress).

8. Minors

Minors may only use this service with the consent of their legal guardians.

9. Changes, final provisions

The operator may amend these terms with effect for the future; the current version is available on this page. German law applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
