Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026 · Information pursuant to Art. 13/14 GDPR for the website teamtycoon.de and the TeamTycoon Minecraft server.
1. Controller
Felix E., Germany
E-mail: info@teamtycoon.de
2. Hosting and server log files
The website and game server are hosted on a server of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, the web server automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser user agent, referrer). This log data is used to ensure operation, analyse errors and defend against attacks, and is automatically deleted after a short period.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).
3. Minecraft game server
When you connect to the game server (teamtycoon.de), the following data is processed:
- Minecraft username and UUID (provided by Mojang/Microsoft) – to identify your game progress,
- IP address – technically required for the connection, and used to prevent disruptions and enforce bans,
- game data – e.g. your progress (level, gold, items, statistics, playtime, positions, your player world) as well as logs of block changes and chat messages (for abuse and cheat prevention, e.g. when griefing or cheating is reported).
Login is handled by the authentication services of Mojang/Microsoft; we have no influence on their data processing. Game data and logs are deleted once they are no longer required for operation.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (provision of the game service) and (f) GDPR (abuse prevention).
4. Public player statistics
On the /players page and on in-game leaderboards, Minecraft usernames are displayed publicly together with game statistics (e.g. gold, playtime, level). The Minecraft username is a pseudonym; only players who actively use the server are listed. On request we will remove your entry from the public display – simply contact us by e-mail.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in community features of a game server).
5. Forum and user accounts
You can create a user account for the forum. For this we process your e-mail address, your chosen display name and your password (stored exclusively as a cryptographic hash). Optionally, you can link your forum account to your Minecraft player name via a code (/link). Your forum posts are publicly visible. A technically necessary session cookie is set for the login; beyond that we do not use any cookies – in particular no tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics services.
You can have your account deleted at any time (an e-mail is sufficient); your posts will then be removed or anonymised.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (usage agreement for the forum).
6. Voting via server lists
On /vote we link to external Minecraft server lists (e.g. minecraft-server.eu, minecraft-server-list.com, minecraftservers.org, minecraft-serverlist.net). If you vote for us there, the respective list transmits your Minecraft username to our server so that we can credit the reward. The privacy policies of those external sites apply to the data processing on their pages.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (crediting the vote reward at your initiative).
7. E-mail
If you contact us by e-mail (info@teamtycoon.de) or receive a verification code for the forum, we process your e-mail address and the content of the communication to handle your request. Mail for this domain is processed on our own server.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
8. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as it is required for the purposes described: web server logs are deleted after a short period, game data is kept for the duration of active use of the server, and abuse-prevention logs are removed on a regular schedule. When an account is deleted or upon request, we remove the associated data unless statutory retention obligations apply.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, simply contact the e-mail address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
10. No sharing, no tracking
We do not share personal data with third parties unless this is necessary for the purposes described above (hosting) or required by law. We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services and do not embed content from third-party servers.
